Bred by Colen Wyatt, one of the most successful home garden vegetable plant breeders, the old-time tomato seeds produce flavor perfect for fresh eating or cooking. These Big Beef tomato seeds produce early and set fruit reliably even in cool, wet weather. Resistant to verticillium wilt (V), fusarium wilt (F) races 1 and 2, nematodes (N), and Alternaria stem canker (ASC), gray leaf spot (St), and tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). There are 2 seed packets included.

Q&As

1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: do they need to be transplanted in bigger pots? if so what size pot do I need for each beefsteak tomato plant?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Joanne Choose a large pot: Select a pot that is at least 18 inches wide and 2 feet deep to accommodate the plant's root system. Smaller pots can dry out quickly, stressing the plant.

I must say so far my experience hasn’t been very good. First off the shipping was as much as the purchase. The delivery was two days late and the plants were REALLY small. Now one of the plants doesn’t look good. I know this isn’t your normal eating , but it has been my experience.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Sad Looking Plants

Plants looked terrible when delivered. I put them in the ground within 15 minutes from delivery. Next day added Miracle Grow. Hope they survive
