Doesn’t work on steel posts.

I used these insulators for a high tensile fencing project and after everything was built and I turned on the fence charger it wasn’t hot enough. I electrified one strand at a time and could see and hear the current arcing through the insulator. I also used these on my wood posts which seem to be working okay.

Absolute trash. You can't even get a staple tight on them the second a staple touches them they just shatter. Would never recommend to anyone for any animal.
