We purchased this tool for a time sensitive project. It was impossible to complete the project with - as it was impossible to smoothly close it - it was VERY choppy no matter how much we adjusted it or oiled, and when we finally could close it - the force was so jumbled it would knock the sleeves out of place. After paying the $100+ for this, we ended up going back to our main shop over an hour away to get our old one because we just couldn't get the job done with this.

Jaws need to open wider for crimp sleeve over 12.5 gauge wire. To fit this onto a 4-5 crimp sleeve for 12.5 gauge wire the handles are opened to the full horizontal position, making it difficult to place the sleeve in the jaw and start the crimp. This makes it a two person job. The grips on the handles are not secured well and will rotate or slide off. I don't recommend these for 12.5 gauge wire crimp sleeves.

I ended up returning these because the worked so poorly. Difficult to open, more difficult to close. They did not fit the sleeves very well and required 4 hands to operate. Save your money on these and get a hydraulic crimper for about the same price.

Works exactly as it should, making crimping a breeze.
