Q: Is this wìre rated for direct bury without using conduit?
a year ago- A: Thank you very much for contacting us. This wire (model 500-552) is suitable for both above ground and below ground use, but please note that it is not double insulated. While the outer layer is made of non-conductive high-density polyethylene, we do not recommend burying it without conduit in areas with high moisture or where extra protection is needed, especially if there’s a risk of abrasion or damage. For safety and durability, using conduit is highly advised in such conditions. It would be our pleasure to assist you with any further questions.a year agoHelpful?
