Quality in Question

I bought a green 65 last summer and went camping for a week. I came back with a warped lid so I returned it and ended up with a grey 65. Come this summer, I do another week long camping trip, and the lid warps again. The ice didn't even last 3 days even when following the pre-chilling they recommend. Humidity never hit 60% and temperatures peaked at 93 degrees. That should be well within this cooler's operating range. I'm starting to doubt YETI coolers at this point. Sure there's a warranty but now I have to lose all the stickers I collected and deal with the hassle. Picture 1 is after finding out the lid warped. Pictures 2 and 3 show the cooler after being racket strapped down in the shade for a few hours.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Love my YETI

I love YETI products because of their quality. This is the second cooler I have purchased, different color. I use it by my pool, one for alcoholic and one for nonalcoholic drinks. They will keep the drinks cold for 3 days or more, even in hot Texas summers. I don’t mind paying for quality. My recommendation is to use a large block of ice as the base, then add regular ice around the drinks. The regular ice will cool things fast but the big block will last for days.

Yes, I recommend this product.

YES to all the hype! PROVEN Bear Proof!

I purchased this product to replace the never ending series of 'non yeti' coolers that didn't live up to their promises. My first test of the Yeti was a 3 day camp out - and at the end of 3 days I still had ice cubes! Not ice water...but solid cubes that hadn't melted at all!!! We cleaned it out, pulled the drain plug, and left it outside of our cabin. When we returned a week later...we discovered that we have a nuisance bear in the area. The bear tore up EVERYTHING, but despite being drug 20 yards from the cabin, and a few bite/claw marks which didn't penetrate the outer shell...my YETI was intact and fully usable - even without a padlock! (later trail cam pictures showed the bear to be a 400+ pound destructive machine). My only regrets on this purchase are that I didn't buy YETI quality years earlier, and that I didn't buy bigger (the way this thing holds ice, I could stay out for a week+...if only I could pack enough food!)
