Rated 3 out of 5 by from Look at product before you buy! I just purchased a 8' and a 6' wire filled gate from TSC. When I went to hang the 8' gate, I noticed the bottom hinge was welded and not bolted as explained in the specs. Thankfully, the hinge was on the right side that I needed it to be. I like the wire mesh on the inside of the gate that faces the pen to help keep the welds from breaking in case a large animal pushes against it. My 6' gate had no chain latch, the corner piece that the chain hooks to when wrapped around the post. This was a bit frustrating as I needed to get the gates hung. My closest TSC store had non of the gates I needed and I had to run 20 miles away to another store and had no intention of running again to exchange gates... so I made them work. Would I buy again.... probably, however, I would look at the gates closely before I loaded them on my truck and make sure things are what they should be. This really comes down to quality control. Other wise, they are a very nice gate and should work well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Misleading dimensions These gates look nicer than the tube gates, even though the picture is not 100% accurate. The wire mesh gets in the way of the hinges, had to cut in a few spots. Seems the manufacturer could have avoided this by offsetting the mesh. The bigger problem, the dimensions listed online were not accurate. Against our better judgement, we set our posts before picking up the gates, and added a few inches to account for hinges. The gates are 4" narrower than advertised, and the supplied lag bolts are too short to extend out 4". We were using two 8' gates to cover a 16'6" opening, and were left with a 14" gap, which we reduced by extending the bolt hooks. Still left with a problem, a cutsheet online with accurate dimensions would have been a huge help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect gate I have two of these gates already with a double gate opener on our driveway. I'm buying 6 more so I can replace 3 each 16' gates that are always sagging, difficult to pick up and open. The wire is perfect for keeping dogs, coyotes and ferrel hogs out of our property. (We have a 4 rail wood fence with hog wire on the inside.). Keep ours animals in and everything else out.

I want to use this between 2 wooden fence panels in my backyard to make a drive through gate so I can get my new lawnmower into the yard. Does anyone know if this can be used between 2 existing metal poles? How does it attach? Can't tell much from photo.

Asked by: sashasue
This will need to be installed on wooden fence posts, not metal poles. It attaches using bolt on hinges.

I understand overall height is 50 inches but what is the height to just the top of the wire portion?

Asked by: MsLolly
Product color, style, and dimensions vary based on region and store. The gates supplied to your Texas locations measure 36-3/8" tall from the bottom to the top of the wire.
