Rated 3 out of 5 by from It’s a gate Pretty straightforward it’s a 16ft gate and works as intended if installed properly! Wish it came in grey though!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flimsy. Hinge brackets need replaced. I bought a 16’ mesh Filled gate and I can’t get the hinges to stay clamped to the post without wiggling loose. Gate actually fell off hinges because it worked itself loose. That was after tightening the hinges to the point where I wasn’t comfortable doing it anymore without damaging the post. If I try and tighten them down further they just pinch the post, which I’ve already done, to try and get it to stay. Gate is level and nothing is binding it up. They need better quality hardware for the price you pay. I’m going to see if I might be able to exchange it because of all the problems I’ve had with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply made and over priced. These gates are out of square and the whole thing is cheaply made with too thin of gauge metal that smashes when you are hand tightening a hinge, so the gate does not stay level or plumb after tightening the hinge. I would HIGHLY recommend Tractor Supply offering different brands of gates such as: Behlen Country, Powder River, or Priefert that are of better quality and similar price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great medium duty gate Great gate for my 16' opening! Easy install. Have yet to install an automatic opener, I'm sure it will hold up well!

So how far apart should the posts be? Is the gate actually 16 foot, or should the gap be 16 feet?

Asked by: CJ65
The posts should be spaced 16ft. apart. The gate actually measures shorter than the listed "16ft." to allow room for hinges and mounting of the gate.

Is this easy to hang compared to my old 16 foot gate: I don't see the hinges on the gate to hang on the hinges on the pole.

Asked by: Rhondie
Yes, it is easy to hang with the included bolt-on hinges.
