Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tarter 8 ft tube gate.......poor quality You just don't get what you pay for pride in workmanship...lousy welding that looks like a first time welder would do and the paint is barely paint more like watered down rattle can paint.....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from poor quality control Have bought several gates and panels from tractor supply over the past few years. Tractor supply itself is great, store is close and personnel are always helpful and friendly, unfortunately these tarter products are just not that great. I never really paid all that close attention until after buying corral panels last summer. Cut my hand on welding wire that was hanging from a panel. Got to noticing the quality of the welds on all the tarter products and they are inconsistent at best, some are ok and some look like a 10 year old played with his daddy's stick welder. The paint is fading terribly, and at least every gate and panel I own has rust on or around at least some of the welds. Some of the welds have holes blown completely through and through the tubes. I attempted to contact tarter and got an automated reply from them over a week ago saying I would hear from them in 24 hours, never did. Checked my spam folder and nothing there either. We have a small farm and always needing more gates and panels. Actually in the market for more now, but will have to find something better, just don't think these will last and would rather spend a little more and drive further to have something that will hold up and last.

Wondering about security of the gate? Can it be lifted off the hinges after installed or do you need tools to remove it? It will be in a remote location and I want to prevent access to my driveway by vehicles, large and small.

Asked by: jwwarden
It can, depending on how the gate is hung. You can point the top pin towards the ground then using the top adjustable hinge slide the top hinge on to the pin and tighten for more security.

Do the gates measure 8 ft . not including the hardware , or is the 8 ft hardware included

Asked by: DMitch
The 8' width includes the hardware. So the total width needed for the gate opening is 8'. Thank you!

Will this gate pair well with the CountyLine Corral Panels? The gate intended for use on them is out of stock in our store. Considering using this as an alternative option.

Asked by: MNewman05
This gate is designed to mount to a post, and will not work with corral panels.
