Good Gates for good deals

I've purchased a couple of the economy gates and they work great as long as I'm using them for the intended purpose.
I even have (2) 12' economy gates together using nothing but the supplied gate hardware enclosing my boat and RV storage lot and they hardly show signs of sag after 2 years of service and daily use.
They're mounted to well planted 6"x6" posts.
I've tried to use a 14' as a frame to mount a swinging gate over my driveway. It works fine as just a tube gate, but I tried to dress it up by adding cedar pickets to it so it meets suburban neighborhood requirements. Under the extra weight I have been unsuccessful at gettign the swing to stop sagging enought o use with the Mighty Mule 350 opener. I may have to give up and try to set up a dual gate system so they're only 7 ft long sections hanging.

Wimpy gate

Gage of metal is to thin. Had to install a cable to make it more rigid. Dents and warps easy. Needs corner bolsters to make more stable.

14 foot galvanized gate

I purchased two of the 14 galvanized gates to replace old damaged ones. Were a breeze to put up. I’m 65 and was able to do it myself.
