Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a swinger I purchased this at local store along with gate, fence post, and wire stretcher in an effort to keep deer out of my garden. Worked like a champ. Got a pair of welder gloves at TS to keep the barb nicks to a minimum.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality gate was bent by my 4 month old goat. I installed a 10' livestock (Tarter Brand) gate last Sunday and that very day my little 4 month old goat charged the gate because there was a dog on the other side of the gate. The picture shows the gate with the bent tube and mesh panel. That is a significant amount of damage considering the little goat only weighs 32lbs. The gate is built from some pretty thin material. My concern is what happens when a much larger goat pushes up against it or climbs on it. I won't be buying this brand of gate again! From the standpoint of Tractor Supply, they were great and said I can bring it back, no problem at all. Lesson learned: Buy your farm products at Tractor Supply because customer service is great but stay away from the Tarter brand gates!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must if you have goats! If you have goats of ANY breed (I've had 5 breeds here over the years), this is the gate to get. The only problem I have had is that over time (like a couple years), the mesh part will start to fall off and you'll have to replace the gate. Any size of these gates work great too on keeping dogs out of your paddocks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10' gate This is the perfect gate for our use. It is light and sturdy. I didn't need a heavy duty gate. It is out of the weather, so didn't need a galvanized one. Easy to install & looks good..

Is it possible to have 2 of these side by side, but have one be stationary the majority of the time? as in the right gate would latch on to the left gate, but when needed the left could open as well.

Asked by: djbrown88
This is possible, however, please note the wire filled will be on opposite sides.

What sort of mount does it need on each side? It has to go on a concrete surface that is not drillable. Could it be mounted on poles that are set in those temporary concrete squares like temporary chain link?

Asked by: Guin
The mount/posts need to be wooden. It should be ok mounting to a wooden post/pole in the temporary concrete block however, the concrete should be on an even level and be heavy enough not to tip.
