Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, solid construction... I needed a gate to deter other animals from visiting, fighting, eating mine! This was the perfect length for the only gap which also needed to be a gate. It only comes with two male parts of the hinges attached. You will need the females. I already had two extra female hinge parts set aside from a previous installation. I had a collapsible portable 24” high kennel which worked well when attached to the outside and to the ground to keep out the riff-raff since I also put an old RV trailer tongue wheel on the opening end leaving a large gap on the bottom. It was easy to drill a couple of holes to install the wheel. The gate is sturdy, but not heavy -easily swings either in or out. I’m 60+ and had no problem lifting it up onto my suv and securing it.

Is it possible to have 2 of these side by side, but have one be stationary the majority of the time? as in the right gate would latch on to the left gate, but when needed the left could open as well.

Asked by: djbrown88
This is possible, however, please note the wire filled will be on opposite sides.

Is it possible to mount a latch instead of using the chain? I would like to mount the hinge side to an existing 6x6 fence post and latch on the corner post of out carport to keep our pointer in.

Asked by: Pwalker
There are different options for gate latches available through your local store.

What sort of mount does it need on each side? It has to go on a concrete surface that is not drillable. Could it be mounted on poles that are set in those temporary concrete squares like temporary chain link?

Asked by: Guin
The mount/posts need to be wooden. It should be ok mounting to a wooden post/pole in the temporary concrete block however, the concrete should be on an even level and be heavy enough not to tip.
