I got this for my birthday for a few years ago and protected my head from a major fall when my horse jumped to the side and I kept going straight. I landed on my hip and hit my head fairly hard, but thanks to my helmet, my head was fine. This helmet has also been tossed around and kicked by horses and has tons of scratches from my inability to steer away from low hanging tree branches. I've forgotten my helmet a few times going to work and the helmet we have for customers don't feel quite like mine does, so I have a newfound appreciation of the fit of my helmet. It feels like a nice hug on my head when I put it on and it fits the shape of my head beautifully. Trust me, you don't think about the shape of your head until you've put on a helmet that's too wide or narrow for your head. My only issue is that the visor is held in place by one small piece of plastic that I accidentally broke and it can move up and down, but it doesn't bug me too much.
