I purchased the Toro Recycler Max after saying goodbye to my old Toro, which I had used for more than 20 years. It was so old that I can no longer remember the model name, but it certainly set a high standard for durability. I had seen a few YouTube videos discussing a potential issue with pulling the mower backward with a quick, jerking motion. After using the Recycler Max five times so far, I have not experienced any problems when pulling the mower backward, even with a quick jerk. One minor issue I noticed is some grass-clipping leakage when lifting the gate to use the bag. However, placing a strip of painter's tape underneath the lift-up gate has significantly reduced the leakage. The mulching performance has been excellent. The clippings are cut finely enough that they spread evenly across the lawn, and I can hardly see any grass clippings left behind. I did not initially think much about the SmartStow feature, but after folding the handle and standing the mower upright, I realized how useful it is. It takes up considerably less space in my garage and has turned out to be a very convenient feature. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase so far. My old Toro lasted more than 20 years, and I hope this Recycler Max will give me the same kind of long-term reliability.

It literally walks me. Very easy starts and climbs hills with ease.

I bought this mower about a month ago after looking at a lot of mowers and their reviews. We wanted something that would get through the thick and wet grass when the weather doesn't cooperate, and you need to try to get it done before more rain comes and not enough time to dry out. This mower hasn't disappointed us. the discharge chute came a about a week after we registered. We have only used it mulch mode so far and am very pleased with the results. Time will tell with the durability using a lot of plastic on the new mowers but so far so good
