Great mower overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mower to replace a 25 year old Super Recycler. My old mower still works great, but I wanted to get a replacement in case Toro starts phasing out gas mowers. The new mower works great, both bagging and mulching. Plenty of power for thick grass and doesn't leave clumps when mulching. The height adjustment allows for a wide range of cutting heights, much more than previous models. There are no labels/numbers/letters on the height adjustment, which is a bit of a draw back. The mower starts well cold, but it seems to be harder to start when warm/hot. It is likely due to the engine design with no choke or primer. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

Better than battery mowers

Tried 2 models of battery mower - both failed miserably.
Toro - Positive: Mulch mode is very effective - no clumping in the blade area; easy to clean; starts on one pull; storage is easy and compact; uses almost no gas; clipping bag holds a lot.
Toro - Negative: One wheel lever is too tight and very, very difficult to adjust height; mower has difficulty providing an even cut.

worst lawn mower Ive ever owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in July of 2023 after doing some research on the ability of the cutting, engine power, self propelled feature. I have to admit I have been quite disappointed in this machine. Its supposed to be a mulching "super recycler" but this machine mulching is nothing more than excess clippings pouring out the sides just like any other regular machine where the bag is full or the chute plugged and minimally clipped grass overloads the mowing deck. I was expecting some kind of special feature or engagement to be considered a "super recycler". they also advertise the vortex type air flow into the bag but this thing clogs up more often that any murray or cheap mower out there. I have to say I am kicking myself for not getting the honda mower which was basically the same price.
On top of that when you tip the mower on the side or front to rear to do anything underneath gas leaks out the gas cap due to its poor sealing design. not sure how this can even classify as a smart stow since you cant turn it up on end.
Im going to have to now purchase a different mower 2 years in just to be able to mulch if I want to or bag the grass since this thing is not anywhere near what its advertised to be.
No, I do not recommend this product.
