- A: Hi Tina, a fully charged battery is a great start, but if the mower is not turning on there are a few common things to check that can prevent startup. First, make sure the battery is fully seated and locked into place, if it is not clicked in securely, the mower will not receive power. Next, check that the safety key (if your model uses one) is inserted properly, as the mower will not start without it. For starting, press and hold the start button, then pull the safety handle (bail) toward the handlebar at the same time, both steps need to happen together for the motor to engage. It is also a good idea to inspect the battery terminals and mower contacts to ensure they are clean and free of debris or moisture. If the mower was recently used or stored in a hot or cold environment, allow both the battery and unit to return to normal temperature before trying again, as built-in protection systems can temporarily prevent operation. Lastly, check underneath the mower (with the battery removed) to make sure the blade area is clear of any grass buildup or obstructions, as this can trigger a safety shutdown. I’ve used it 3 times…it is perfect for the small patches of grass that I need to cut. Easy to maneuver and a very clean cut. It’s definitely worth the price. Good runtime on the battery, I wish it came with 2 batteries, but I just ordered one, so it’s not an issue. I would definitely recommend the mower!

I bought this in the beginning of the summer hopeful it would replace the gas mower I had for years. Big Mistake!!!! After a few months with this mower I will go back to gas powered mowers and never look back. Battery run time is terrible. Grass cutting is subpar compared to my old gas mower. The only positive I have is it made my next purchase much easier. I will never buy again.

Buy greenworks but not this mower.

This only has the grass catcher, not a side grass dispenser. That causes it to clog easily if the grass is high at all. Greenworks is a good mower, but this one is not the one to buy.

We recommend raising the cutting height to take off only the top third of the grass blade at a time, making a second pass at a lower setting if a shorter cut is desired.
