The YARDMAX 22 in. 3-in-1 rear wheel drive (RWD) Self Propelled Lawn Mower features mulching, side discharge and rear bagging options for disposing of grass clippings. Equipped with a durable 201cc OHV YARDMAX engine with automatic choke system for an easy start, no priming or choking required, it will give you an efficient and powerful performance. This mower features exclusive and industry leading continuously variable transmission (CVT) offering superior speed variability which allows you to mow at a suitable and comfortable pace, adapting to your walking speed. Cut the lawn to your specifications with seven cutting positions from 1.38 in. to 3.55 in., using a convenient single lever. The 8-in. front wheels and 11-in rear wheels offer smooth rolling and reduced vibration. All wheels are equipped with double ball bearings and exclusive aggressive spiked tread rubber tires for an increased traction and maneuverability. The MaxFlow volute deck is designed to keep grass clippings airborne longer for superior mulching, or for flowing into the rear bag when needed. The mower also features a durable and strong single pc., seamless stamped steel deck made of 16-gauge steel. Convenient way to quickly clean the underside of the cutting deck with the deck cleanout port, simply attach a hose to the port. This is a great high-powered lawnmower whose frame is made of metal. This is so important as it helps with vibration and machine sturdiness. Many other makes and models have plastic frames which leads to alot of shaking, but not with Yardmax 22in. 201cc !!

A product marketed as a lawnmower mow the lawn.

Shame on Yardmax for making this and shame on tractor supply for selling it. This product looks like a regular lawnmower but it would be the worst, most ineffective, and difficult to use mower I've ever laid eyes on. So far I got half a season out of it, repairing and adjusting it literally every time the lawn needed to be mowed, then it threw the drive axle from the retainers and separated itself into several pieces. After weeks of back and forth with customer service, they sent a heap of parts on warranty. Now I've carefully re-assembled the mower and the self propulsion does not engage with any amount of adjustment. Meanwhile, I've refurbished the old mower that this was intended to replace (operated for 12 years and cost 1/3 of what this one did) and have no choice but to continue mowing with the old one with no hope of the yardmax ever operating correctly. Spare yourself the aggravation and steer clear of these awful units.

Damaged mower

I believe this mower would have been an excellent mower. However, the left front axle was bent backwards causing the left front tire to point out to the left. The store should have notified me of the damage before I came and picked it up from the store.

Have heard of and needed a new mower. Took a shot…. So happy with this mower. We are seniors so for me to pull start vs (electric mower prior) was as important as power, traction and uneven terrain her results and love one shot cutting vs charging breaks lol 🙄. Confident purchase. Thank you!

Not user friendly

The mower takes at least 5 pulls to get it to start, when using self propelled, I can let up on the self propelled to make a turn it goes at least 12-18” before it stops, I have ran it threw my flower bed, up a fence etc, maybe it’s too much for what I use it for which is 2 small lots that have raised gardens and an above ground pool, I wish I could trade it for another one easier to use
