A find pellet but did not work for my older horses

I tried using these pellets in my older horses mash but they did not soak up the water like the other pellets so I had to not use them anymore. There is nothing wrong with the pellets themselves they just did not work for what I needed them for. My horses are all old and have bad teeth so I need pellets that will soften all the way in to a complete mash.
