Good for price. For a beginner set it is great. If you have hundreds go with forged iron as it will hold much better to extreme heat

This is a nice item. But to long for my wood stove

I only gave this set 3 stars because of the quality build. The bad, The stand is wobbly and could use a wider heavier base and it needs retightening cassionally. the handles and the poker tip all loosen up because they don't tighten down enough and could probably use some kind of heat resistant lock tight, because it's annoying when you are using the tools and they come loose, all the time. The tongs are cheap and very weak, they flex too much to grab and move any bigger logs than what I call starter logs, small splits. the good, the poker is good for shifting logs if you need to get behind them to pull them off the back wall to get air circulation behind them for a better burn ( when it doesn't loosen at the tip or handle) the brush works well for sweeping off ash off the front tray of my stove, and the floor around. the shovel picks up ash, "clinkers", and coals pretty clean for cleanout, of for raking the coals out to level for a fresh load of wood. The handle length could be a little longer to give more distance from hot coals. What this set would really do well with, is the addition of a coal rake so you could get the coals on top of the ash. But for the price, you get what you pay for

Great set. Has the tools that are needed. I would buy it again.
