Very root bound

Bought two of these and they needed up-potted a long time before. They were extremely root bound. Both trees died shortly after transplanting. (no... I did not do it wrong, been doing this for a long time and thought I'd just give it a shot despite how bad the root system was)

Died from day one

Never grew, slowly died from day one. Tractor Supply has no plant warranty like other home improvement stores where they replace it within one year. Out 40 bucks.

Majestic is NOT suited for Zone 5!!!

Mass merchandisers, which includes TSC, are only in business to sell product, whether the variety is adaptable to the geographic location, or not. This Majestic Peach is a prime example. It is a "southern states" variety - lower Texas, east to South Carolina and down to the tip of Florida, which is Growing Zone 8 to 10. I am in Zone 5, which encompasses the Great Lakes states. Why does TSC put this Majestic peach for sale and on dislay, up here, when the variety is far from its adaptable production area? Take heed, buyers, as Majestic will have a super high probablity of freezing to death during our Great Lakes winters. I know better than to buy this variety. And I actually rate TSC/Majestic with a "0", but they do not give that rating to choose. Shame on TSC for not doing a much better job. And this is not the first item I have seen like this, over the years. Some of their fruit varieties are okay and we have had success with them. But you, the buyer, need to know your stuff, since TSC management does not. Elberta Peach is a 100 year old variety and is bland and mealy tasting. Reliance Peach actually is an excellent variety for Zone 5.

No, I do not recommend this product.
