Q: How old will the tree be when ordered? Is there a set standard? If the tree needs to brought in for winter, would 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit keep it alive? Would it be best to put it on a wheeled dolly for easy transport?

1 Answer
  • A: Grafted trees produce fruit the fastest (1-3 years.) The need as much light as possible when brought inside for the winter. They also need humidity, a light spritzing with a water bottle will help. Depending on the size pot would determine if you needed a dolly. Start in a 12" pot and bump up the size as the plant matures.

Not happy at all

I ordered online as it’s the last one in store, drove 35 miles from Massachusetts to pick it up and the plant didn’t have one single leaf on, just bare branches and thorns. Asked the CS if it’s dead and he told me it’s not and it’s normal growing phase - first beaches then thorns then leaves. Knowing not much about lemon tree, I believed it. And the plant was soaked with water. Brought it home and it died shortly. TSC-shouldn’t your staff know a dying plant can’t be sold any more, especially for someone who trusted in online order pick up and drove so far to get it? Very disappointed ☹️

😟

Drove all the way to the store because it said that they had lemon trees in stock. Got there. They had one dead one outside that wasn't even a lemon tree and then told me there's a discrepancy on on in-store stock and online what it says. Maybe they should fix that. What a waste of time!

Extremely Dry & Dying

I order a lemon tree. When it came it looked as though it had been out in extreme heat with no water. All the leaves were very dry & crunchy to the touch. The product that I received was unacceptable at any price. Why carry live plants if you are not going to try to keep it alive and then to pass it onto your customers NOT HAPPY!!!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Unhealthy, buggy plant

TSC gets a star for having this in stock, but the condition of the plant is pitiful. It came with a few wilted leaves covered in spider mites.

No, I do not recommend this product.
