The Pirtle Nursery Brightwell Blueberry shrub #2 (1.5 gal.) produces an abundance of large, blue-black fruits with excellent flavor over a long season. As one of the rabbiteye varieties they are perfect for eating fresh, cooking or freezing. These small shrubs look lovely in landscapes, with leaves that turn bright red in fall. The Brightwell Blueberry requires organic, acid (sour) soil. Typically produces ripe fruit quickly, with ripe berries two months after you notice the flowers on branches. It features dainty clusters of pink bell-shaped flowers with shell pink overtones hanging below the branches in mid spring, which emerge from distinctive red flower buds.

For additional information on this product, please see the Product Documents section for all downloadable user manuals, installation guides, brochures and warranty statements.

Q: is it organic

1 Answer
  • A: The plant itself is organic. We do utilize chemicals to help with insects, funguses and bacteria. They are not as hard as some chemical applications but they would take one growing season (approx calendar year) to be considered completed depleted from plant.

Received halfway dead and died 5 days later

I received a halfway dead “bush” that was not even put into the pot properly. The trunk and branches were basically completely horizontal. Could not return it per policy. I should’ve known better, but I won’t be taken for a sucker again! What a waste of money.

No, I do not recommend this product.
