Q: Is this good for raised beds?

1 Answer
  • A: While all-purpose potting and planting mix can be used in a raised bed, it is not the ideal choice on its own because it may be too light and drain too quickly for the open environment of a raised bed. It is generally recommended to mix the potting mix with other components like garden soil or compost to create a more balanced growing medium

Worst potting soil I’ve ever bought

I’m amazed at the good reviews. Did I get the dregs or what? My bag was full of wood chips, some of which were 6x2 inches. I have another unopened bag. It is unacceptable as plain garden soil, much less potting soil.

worst soil ever for pots

Would give less than a star if possible. Worst potting soil I have ever gotten. As soon as the next planting season starts I'll have to dump all of my indoor and outdoor pots to refill with good soil from an independent garden center. This crap is fell of bark and shreds, zero humus or soil, and it retains zero moisture.
