Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set-up, works great! This little machine has been a lifesaver for our 1acre plus yard. We bought this when it first came out and has worked effortlessly since. We have purchased a large pack of batteries online every so often but I would not say we run thru them frequently. Seems appropriate amount of time given the signals being transmitted, I'd rather buy some batteries then lose our little guy, he's worth it. Never had any problems with collar or base unit. He knows his territory now and we all feel better not having to fence off the entire yard or dig up for and in-grounder. Ours is placed on top of a kitchen cabinet that was centrally located, ran some power up there and plenty of unobstructed height to broadcast from.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from IT WORKS!! I bought this system with 2 collars for my small terrier mix and Boxer dogs. The 1st time we use it it scared the heck out of the dogs and they didn’t want to go out of the house for 3 days. I had to force them out to potty. Then I decided to lock them outside and see what happened. After sitting on the porch for an hour or so they eventually started to venture further and further into the yard. Now they’ve learned the boundaries and even if I turn the system off they stay in the boundary. The collar gives a beep sound to warn the dog that they are approaching the boundary and the. Dog learns to stop when the beep is heard. If they don’t stop then they get a shock. The shock is very mild, I’ve felt it. But they think it’s awful so it works!! So glad I don’t have to keep my dogs penned up or in the house all the time. And they are safe from the roads. Love this system. I gave 4 stars on quality since the collar would be better with a metal latch that won’t break. I gave 4 stars on price because the system is expensive and I feel it should cost less.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works Great!!!!!! So this is the first review I've ever gone on a product that I bought. I have a one-year-old Yorky bichon mix who just loves to run free around my neighborhood. I had tried everything to keep him contained in my yard. Nothing worked until I found this product!! It has been a lifesaver and a worry saver! I was always afraid that my puppy would run out into the middle of the street or become lost when he broke free from my yard. Now we no longer worry and can enjoy our backyard outside with our pupoy again!!!

Can you use it near the lake allowing dog to swim with the collar

Asked by: FrankieStaley17
Hi there, thank you for your question! While the collar is absolutely waterproof, it is possible that if the dog is in the lake he or she could swim out of range of the transmitter, and could receive an unintended correction. We do recommend removing the collar for swim time in this situation.

I have a metal roof. Will that interfere?

Asked by: Meganboatman
Hello Megan, thank you for your question! Homes with metal siding or a metal roof can cause the signal from the transmitter to be inconsistent. For this reason, we would recommend going with an in-ground fence instead of wireless.

What dose the collar do if the electricity goes off will it keep shocking them or will it just turn off

Asked by: Jb1234
This is a wonderful question! The signature of a power outage is steeper than the loss of a signal when your dog leaves the boundary or when the transmitter is unplugged. Typically, the receiver collar your dog wears is able to recognize the difference and should not activate if the power is lost. In the event the collar activates unintentionally, it will time-out after 15 seconds. Please feel free to reach out to us at 1-800-732-2677 for any additional questions you may have.
