Works perfect with my Doodles and Poodles

I’ve had this unit for about 2/3 years now and I’m coming back to review the product and how it’s changed our life of being dog parents. I have golden doodles and poodles. I’ve also had a GSD on this fence as well. I initially got this fence because it was wireless and my dogs kept traveling all around my residence. I don’t like my animals going onto others property whenever they please. When I first purchased the product I put the flags up immediately then walked each dog along the perimeter of the fence. It only took 2 days max for all of my dogs to learn their perimeter. I currently have 4 on this on device. The main until stays in my kitchen and they have a perimeter that allows them to go about 5 ft from the edge of my yard and all around in a circular shape around my property. I do have my perimeter set on the shortest setting but that is way more then they need. They also can go inside their building as long as they stay within the perimeter of the fence. They have learnt their boundaries and had a few shocks to understand it completely but if I walk outside of the perimeter I always tell them to stay to remind them and they do wonderful and will sit and wait for me to return into the safe zone. This unit has been amazing and I have no issues or negative to say about it. It’s worth the cost and being wireless is the big bonus. Just make sure to pay attention to the collars lights and you won’t have any issues. My dogs can go without collars and still remain inside the safe zone. I’ve recommended the stay and play to all of my dog friends. It really is a lifesaver because my dogs aren’t chained and they come in the house and go through the doggy door as they want throughout the day. I no longer have to worry about where they are or what they may be in. Don’t hesitate but this fence.

105 feet from the box is the maximum radius. I would need so many boxes to link together for the dogs to have a decent area to roam.

Awful

Our old pet safe wireless fence system stopped working. So we purchased the new model. Well, I will tell you this new one is a total nightmare. Since it doesn’t beep my dog runs off every single day. He was used to the old model, if I could purchase a collar for this one I would do it in a heartbeat.
No, I do not recommend this product.

We're so sorry for any misunderstanding about both this system and our available options!
Please know that this system provides a warning beep just like all of our wireless collars do. Additionally, though our original wireless system is still available, it is crucial to mention the only difference in this one would be that this collar has stronger correction levels than your previous collar, and this transmitter provides a bit larger possible distance for the boundary area.
Since your dog is still leaving the boundary, this lets us know either he is disregarding the beep and correction and revisiting his training would likely be the most help, the correction on the collar is too low for him to notice on its current setting, or the collar is not activating consistently. So that we can troubleshoot with you and determine the root cause and best next steps, please be with your system and reach out to us here-

Don’t waste your money.

I’ll Give yall an honest, unpaid review. I’ve had this fence for many many years now. It’s crap. The collars go off at my garage when the range is set well outside of it. And no my hub is not anywhere close to metal. But they will tell you that metal interferes with the signal but let’s be honest, you can’t stay completely away from metal with a home. So obviously signal
From collars to hub it not good. Aaannndddd on the the collars. They are also crap. Both of my clasps broke on both collars. I also had a small amount of water fall on it from a house plant and completely fried it! So we will definitely going for any other brand that petsafe.

I never got to use it. I couldn’t get boundaries set up on my property. The distance difference on each setting is to broad. Didn’t matter where I lived it in my house the range was so wonky. I had it in the center of my house and the back yard was a great are but it would go off as soon as you walk out the front door. I would adjust it wider and would get half of the front yard and it would take away half of the area in the back yard. The sides were so wide that it would go to the center of my neighbors yards. To get the sides good I had no front or back yard ..

We are so sorry for any misunderstanding on how these systems operate! Even in situations where a transmitter may seem to be in the center of the home, the distance in feet toward the doors may be different enough to change how many feet fall outside in the yard. This would naturally lead to a shorter yard in either the front or back, as well as correspondingly wide sides, etc.
If you would prefer a system that you can set the specific boundaries, an in-ground/wired system would likely be a better fit for your needs.
