- A: Howdy neighbor! The PetSafe Guardian GPS 2.0 Dog Fence has no maximum size limit and can easily expand to cover hundreds of acres of land. To work correctly, however, your custom virtual boundary must cover a minimum area of at least 0.5 acres. Please note that the system requires a clear view of the sky; therefore, it is not recommended for properties with dense tree canopies that could block the satellite signal.16 days agoHelpful?

With this being said, as different cellular companies do use different satellites, it is possible this collar may be able to function well at your location even if your specific phone carrier is not as consistent at home. Terrible range. Terrible tracking. Constant charging issues and short battery life. Not even worth buying, especially at this price. Waste of time, so much time and so much money.

Don’t waste your money

This worked well for about 2 weeks. Now it’s not at all accurate. The strap constantly slides and becomes loose. The gps tracker constantly needs reset. It takes forever to catch up to where my dog is and leads to delayed corrections that confuse my dog. Don’t recommended.

Accuracy needs improvement

I bought this collar a few weeks ago after some research with the various collars on the market. It seems that the GPS function does not update as quick as expected and the accuracy is not the best at times. I also had problems with setting the "fence posts" due to the Google Earth photo that was used in the app. The photo was taken in the Summer and because of the tree canopy, many areas of my yard where I wanted to put a post was not visible so it was a guessing game. Not a bad system but there may be better out there.
No, I do not recommend this product.
