Rated 5 out of 5 by from pet safe collar wonderful product, a safe way to let dogs roam but not too far. they don't have to be caged or housed up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works My only complaint is that the transmitter on the collar needs to be built stronger. I have a beagle that can destroy one of these a year. The battery just won’t stay in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 8 Years and Going Strong We've had our system for our dog for about 8 years and it works great. The only thing I need to check is that if the electric goes out, you need to reset the collar. However, the directions online and the customer rep make it easy. I make sure to purchase PetSafe batteries for best performance. My dog learned her boundary in no time. I recommend this to all my friends.

We purchased a collar (pet safe) we already had a box. Our dog will not go as far as he would with the old collar. Is there something we are doing wrong? We checked the collar off the dog and it will go as far as the old collar before it peeped.

Sorry to hear about the issue you've run into with that receiver collar, Lillie! Please ensure that there are no metal objects or appliances within 5' from your transmitter unit as these could partially block the transmitter's signal, which in turn can cause the receiver collar to activate inside the boundary area. You may also want to go through the reprogramming process listed in the operating guide to see if this solves the issue. If it seems as though everything is working correctly but your dog is still hesitant to go out as far as he was before, you may want to temporarily set the boundary flags out again so that he has a visual cue of where the boundary edge is. If this continues to be an issue, please give us a call at the number 1-800-732-2677 for troubleshooting.

Will this collar work with Gaurdian 300-210-1

Asked by: Ehoest
Thank you for this question! The PetSafe Wireless Pet Containment System Receiver Collar is not compatible with the 300-210 in-ground fence transmitter. You may find the collar that is compatible with your transmitter here: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/petsafe-deluxe-ultralight-receiver-collar?cm_vc=-10005

Do the smaller collars that come with the Stay and Play containments, work with the other wireless containments as well?

Asked by: EBB1
Hi there, great question! Yes, the Stay and Play collars are compatible with our other two Wireless Containment options (PetSafe Wireless: PIF-300 and the Free to Roam: PIF00-15001). All of our Wireless systems are cross compatible with each other.

I got shocked when holding the collar in my hand in the house. What is wrong?

Asked by: Gibby65
We're sorry for any issues you've experienced with that wireless receiver collar! Please keep in mind that we do not recommend that pets wear the receiver collars inside the home. This is due to the fact that electronic devices as well as appliances, such as a washing machine, refrigerator, or hot water heater inside your home can interrupt the signal and may cause the collar to activate. It can also be caused by the receiver collar getting too close to something like a TV, computer or other appliance. While interference inside your home is a normal occurrence that may happen on occasion, it is not something that most customers experience with any regularity. If you do notice it happening often, be sure the transmitter is not within 5-10' feet of any of the above items or any other metal objects or appliances. If it is, moving the transmitter can help reduce the chances of signal interference. Even if the transmitter has been installed in the same spot for many years, moving it is still highly recommended, as this may clear any other interference. In addition, resynchronizing your wireless system will typically resolve most issues. Please refer to your Operating Guide for instructions on how to go about this, or give our Customer Care Center a call at the number 1-800-732-2677 and they will be glad to walk you through the process.

How many dogs can be on collars with one receiver box? One dog has a collar and we've acquired a new dog and would like to put her on a collar. Would two, or even three, dogs be able to use the one receiver box?

Asked by: Louscrew
That's a great question! Luckily, and unlimited number of collars can be used. So you are welcome to have as many dogs as you'd like with the system.

You can find the collar manual at the following link: https://www.tractorsupply.com/static/sites/TSC/downloads/ProdContentPDFs/3691054_Man1.pdf If you need the manual for the full system rather than just the receiver collar, that can be found at this link: https://www.tractorsupply.com/static/sites/TSC/downloads/ProdContentPDFs/3691258_Man1.pdf

What is the average battery life?

Asked by: Philip185
Thank you for your great question. The batteries in these receiver collars will last about 1-3 months depending on how your dog respects or challenges the boundary. Please note that during training time, the batteries will deplete faster as you will be forcing the collar to activate more frequently.
