These simple devices work to avoid using biodegradable long belts to attach a camera to a tree. Without a drill, they are challenging to screw into a live tree, but stable once there. The spring clip that holds the screw from the mount to the camera is guaranteed to be lost on the first use, but it's not necessary anyway. Notwithstanding all of the above, I still use these things for every camera!
