Q: How do you attach this to your drill??? NO INSTRUCTIONS!! to a Ryobi 18V drill? No instructions!!!!!!

1 Answer
  • A: To attach the GroundWork 8 in. Bulb Auger to your Ryobi 18V drill, you simply insert the auger's drive shaft into the drill's chuck and tighten it securely. The auger is designed to fit standard 3/8 inch or larger drill chucks Attaching the Auger 1.Ensure Safety First: Make sure the Ryobi 18V battery is removed from the drill before you begin to prevent accidental operation. 2.Open the Drill Chuck: Twist the end of the drill's chuck counterclockwise by hand until the jaws open wide enough to insert the auger's drive shaft. 3.Insert the Auger: Slide the shaft of the GroundWork 8 in. Bulb Auger into the opening between the chuck's jaws. Ensure it is centered and inserted far enough to get a good grip, usually so that the flat parts of the shaft align with the jaws for a tighter fit. 4.Tighten the Chuck: Hold the auger in place and twist the chuck clockwise by hand to close the jaws around the shaft. 5.Final Secure: Once hand-tight, lightly press the drill's trigger in the forward (clockwise) direction while holding the chuck collar (the end of the drill) to fully tighten it with the drill's power. You should hear a clicking sound as it securely locks into place. 6.Verify: Give the auger a gentle pull to confirm it is firmly secured and won't slip during use

Wonderful tool!

This 8in auger is wonderful help for a local gardener. We use it to dig holes for all our transplants - tomatoes, peppers, cantaloupes. Saves our hands from blister, by not doing it with a hand shovel, and also SAVE a LOT of time!
