The best valued 6 in. benchtop jointer on the market. The G0946 6 in. Benchtop Jointer features a spiral-type cutterhead for smoother finishes, quieter operation, and less maintenance compared with straight-knife cutterheads. The 12 high-speed steel (HSS) inserts sit square to the axis of the cutterhead, with the cutting edges perpendicular to the workpiece. HSS has been heat treated for hardness and wear resistance, which keeps a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels.The manual was written by our U.S.-based Technical Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. The complete and easy-to-read manual makes it easier to assemble and maintain your machine. The Customer Service and Technical Support Teams are also U.S.-based. Parts for this machine may be available online and shipped from the parts warehouse in Springfield, MO.

My first jointer... I'm impressed

Needed almost no adjustment out of the box, very smooth, cutter heads easy to rotate/change out when the time comes. I love it. I'm new to woodworking but I don't anticipate needing to upgrade or get anything different.

Rock solid, accurate and smooth cutting.

I'm going to start this review off by saying that i tried to come up with anything negative. For me, there is nothing negative. The fulfillment & shipping was swift. Unboxing and the manual review was easy. I checked alignment which was spot on so I fired it up and ran walnut, cherry, maple and oak over the new cutter style blade. The vibration was not noticeable, but the finish was. The ugly edge came out with a smooth finish, dead on flatness and square. This type of head is perfect and its got a great home now. Thank you grizzly, for making these affordable tools.
