As well as convenient thickness scale located on the top of the machine for checking yoThe manual was written by our U.S.-based Technical Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. I'm amazed at the quality of the surface of the red oak that I ran through. I wish that it was a 240 volte machine. For the money I'm pleased with the results I'm receiving from this purchase.

Broken out of the box

Not thrilled. Totally understand that this is a “budget friendly” piece of equipment but the adjustment wheel shouldn’t be cracked and the screw for it bent straight out of the box. I don’t mind fixing things but I very much prefer to do it when I break it. I’m going to do what I can because returning this seems to be more of a hassle because of its size and weight.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very impressive

Got one of these recently for our carpentry program at a local nonprofit to replace our old straight blade planer. The difference is night and day. The finish this creates is amazing. We ran some maple/walnut/cherry cutting boards through it, almost no snipe and amazing finish. The other huge plus for us is the noise reduction. Our dust collector is probably louder than this planer, even in the cut.
