The G0945 6 in. Benchtop Jointer has a compact size for convenient placement in any shop. It mounts and dismounts quickly to a workbench making it portable when necessary. It is used to produce straight, flat edges on a workpiece, in order to properly square material for further layout, construction, and jointing.The manual was written by our U.S.-based Technical Documentation Department and is packed with useful information. The complete and easy-to-read manual makes it easier to assemble and maintain your machine. The Customer Service and Technical Support Teams are also U.S.-based. Parts for this machine may be available online and shipped from the parts warehouse in Springfield, MO.

Great little machine for small projects

Been using this jointer now for 2 years. In my case, the fence will not stay at 90°. So every few boards I will stop and will use a precision square to check the degree. I have not rotated the helica head pieces yet. Although I'm about due for it. So we will see how easy it is. I usually keep my cuts at around 1/32 rather than 1/16. Have had zero issues with jointing exotic hardwoods. I would definitely buy this unit again along with a floor model. I understand that all bench tops are built out of plastic, or aluminum, and that the fence is made out of aluminum. Wish it was a little more durable. That being said, my only issue was running oak through it and having the table develop scratches/grooves.

Port build quality and precision

Powerful for its size it does provide smooth cuts at depth through soft to most hardwood. Though the quality of materials and construction is poor. The table surface took several deep scratches from rough wood boards(only 2 weeks in) which had to be buffed out,) This was after the fence bolts both snapped on adjustment(3 rd day) , and I had to replace with own supply. The fence alignment system is poor especially when comes to truing. A great buy if you’re looking for a first planer to ruin while learning but terrible value if you want precision and accuracy for milling. Should have spent the extra money on the Rikon.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good machine

Good jointer for it's price. Leaves a smooth finish and does whit it is supposed to do. Only negative was none of my vacuums fit the dust port .
