Perfect
a month ago
I bought this in March and only had time to use it a few times, but i put it together and did very little adjusting on it and it put out perfect lumber. Once you get used to it I don't think I could have made a better decision. I will add that the first machine they sent was damaged in shipment , took pictures called Grizzly and with no hassel it was replaced.

All I’m saying is be cautious. I saw a lot of great reviews so I went for this planer. Straight out of the box it was tripping the breaker. Went “under the hood” and noticed the start capacitor was bad. They sent me a new one and still the same issue. As it approached full power it would trip. I tried to check the centrifugal switch but the fan is mounted so tight to the motor I can’t access it. Now they want me to pull the motor off, pay or spend the time building a crate to crate it, and send it back. I’ve already spent countless hours trying to trouble shoot fixing their faulty machine, now I need to spend even more time getting the motor out so they can see what’s going on. My time is very valuable to me and this seems to be a case of “me paying them so that I can wash the car”. They sent me a faulty machine and want me to do the work fixing it. I was initially told that if there was something wrong with the machine, they would come pick it up and repair or replace. But this all just means more time that my shop doesn’t have a planer. I’m mostly happy with my other grizzly products but this one has been an absolute nightmare (especially due to the size of it). So it’s more a matter of luck when choosing this machine apparently so again I’d be cautious.

Amazing machine!

I have a smaller cabinet shop and only had a 15'' Grizzly Planer before moving up to the 20". You cannot go wrong buying either the 15" or the 20" with the spiral cutterheads! The 20" Grizzly planer w/ spiral cutterhead is a workhorse and will make Hickory seem like you are cutting butter! Great value for your money!

planer works well but the roller with the foot pedal slam's down out of no where a lot when you are pushing it, also one of the knobs were broke from the factories. machine functions very well. I am happy with it.
