Totally satisfied with machine so far. Delivery was quick and well crated. No signs of damage in shipment. All loose items packed and secured. Easy assembly no problems with alignments. Good detailed assembly instructions. Proper warning tags to prevent start up before adding gear lube. Mobile lift wheel and base wheels solid steel and easy to operate. Moving the 800+ lbs of cast iron and 5hp motor around the concrete floor of my shop is a breeze. No need for realignment to any of the rollers. Operated initial start up was normal and very smooth and surprisingly quiet. Started test cuts with dry 8/4 white oak 18 in width No problem at both speed rates. Cuts were butter smooth and even across the planks. Measured equal thickness end to end NO SNIPE! This planner is the quiet machine in my shop now. My vent fans are louder than this beast. I will be running 1000 bd ft white oak soon and we’ll see how she holds up. Pleased as can be with this purchase.

I've been using this planer for over a year now and while I do like the results there are some issues with poor quality of the construction. I have a small shop so the ability to be mobile is paramount and thats where the bulk of my issues are with this machine. The “mobile base” on this machine is of incredibly poor quality. The foot pedal to raise the machine for mobility falls constantly while moving and now one of the adjustable feet has broken due to poor welds. The dust collection is another major issue. This machine has several large gaps around the dust hood causing it to be ineffective. I have and still do own several machines from Grizzly and they have been excellent machines but this planer needs some attention from the engineers. If you do purchase this machine I would strongly recommend a better mobile base if you intend to move it around.

This machine is an absolute beast, I am extremely satisfied with the performance of this planer.

So much to say and all good so far . Right out of the Box, just turn it on and go. Cuts good and QUIET, amazing how quiet the spiral head is! I will not buy anything without spiral cutters again ever. I had to do some wiring , any small shop will probably need to run a new circuit for these big machines but I'm going as big as I can afford on HP (single phase) from now on. Probably the most impressive is how well the dust (chip) collection works NOTHING on the floor. You have to have the right stuff I have 6" duct, Grizzly G0562ZP - 3 HP Double Canister Dust Collector and Grizzly G0863 - Grizzly Growler Cyclone Separator. This setup is all you need, it bags chips which most systems don't, and everyone needs that second stage separation. The Dust collector is just an air pump and air cleaner. I couldn't be happier with all of it.
