Great little wood stove!!!!

We bought this little stove for our cabin and love it. We have 704 sq ft with 8'walls and very high ceilings. This stove does amazing. We had been living in a 5th wheel attached to another building and were using 2 big pellet stoves to heat everything the past 3 years. Using this stove in our cabin, we have reduced our heating and utility bills by around $1000. Don't get me wrong, the pellet stoves put out good heat, but we would go through approximately 2 pallets of pellets a month. Thankfully we have 30+ acres of forest with wood for the taking. I'm sure we will add either or both a fan or a stovepipe heat reclaimer for better heat and efficiency. So far though, we have absolutely no complaints. Our wood burns clean and we have not had to clean the glasson the door like we always did with the pellet stoves and the old big wood burning stove we used to have.

BEWARE: Faulty Welds Cause Major Smoke Leaks

I really loved this stove until it started to smoke out of the rear top right corner after 7 days of perfect performance. I never had a problem with Tractor Supply over past item issues and the same goes for this situation. I called them and let them know what was happening and they simply said to return or exchange the stove. I opted for an exchange as like I said, I really loved the stove. I picked up the new stove, paid a friend who is qualified to install the stove, started a small break-in fire with some light twigs/branches.........after 2 minutes, my heart sank; The new one leaked WAY worse than the first. The welds on the upper-rear of the stove were extremely bad. I tried uploading 2 videos to show the proof, but they will not upload for some reason. I was forced to move out of my living quarters and if that was not bad enough, I was dealing with my dog who had major surgery dealing with drain tubes on both sides of his neck. Now I am out of a few hundred bucks for the installation fee's along with being displaced and will have to pay to have the living quarters cleaned as the strong smell of smoke is still present. Again, I am not pointing at Tractor Supply, I am pointing at the stove brand. The second stove leaks so bad, it is like it is just open like a vent........very bad QC and I am not pleased by how much more stress this added to my life. I need a stove, but I am NOT bringing home another Targhee......TS will really have to make this work for me as I am trying to hold my frustration.

This stove smokes inside the room every time you open the door I have adequate flu length and everything is brand new. I contacted the company that manufactured the stove. They told me to do different things which I did and it does not fix the problem. It’s very frustrating. It’s almost unusable. I ended up drilling holes to help the air intake but still smokes the room up I have to keep the door slightly open to keep the fire going and obviously don’t trust to leave the stove by itself. Probably going to put it in the garage and spend some money on a good quality wood stove.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Excessive smoke from rear of the stove.

Before you buy you should read the reviews and pay close attention to the ones stating that this stove does not breathe well and smokes excessively. I will never buy another Grand Teton product.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hard to figure out.

Weve had all kinds of wood stoves over the years. Weve had everything from small old timers to the outside Hardy wood boilers. Now that we live in a tiny house, we thought wed get a smaller wood stove for inside. Well this one has taken us about 2 weeks to figure out. It either burns blazing hot and its 90 in the house with the door and windows open or it smoldering and 65. We have finally figured out for our small house we cant stock it. We only put a pc or two in and it will last for about 2 hrs.

Yes, I recommend this product.
