The Autumn Sunset Encore Azalea is a reliable beauty that lives up to the Encore Azalea name! This selection features single-form, orange-red blooms with a splash of red flecks towards the center of the flower. These blooms are medium-sized, at about 2.5 inches across. Additionally, they're quite prolific, and, like other Encore Azalea varieties, the Autumn Sunset is capable of reblooming up to 3 times a year! The Autumn Sunset Encore Azalea isn't all blooms though! This variety also features bright green evergreen foliage. Furthermore, its leaves are rounded, and glossy, with almost no leaf hair. This consistent foliage provides the perfect backdrop for its bright flowers to really shine. The Autumn Sunset has a neat and compact dwarf growth habit that is quite easy to maintain with minimal pruning. At its mature size of 3 H x 3.5 W, it's somewhat reminiscent of a muffin top. This is due to its naturally rounded growth habit. Use this red-blooming azalea as a specimen, accent, informal hedge, or foundation planting. Otherwise, the Autumn Sunset is also great for containers or mass plantings.
