Q: how close or far should the be planted from each other?
8 months ago- A: Thanks for reaching out to us! You can plant these at a 5-6' apart (on center). They will get pretty big so that will be enough space to allow them to grow and still provide privacy.8 months agoHelpful?

Q: Greetings. How long can these guys stay in their pots? Is it ok to plant in early September in Northern Arizona? Should I plant 2ft apart or 3ft? TYIA
4 years ago- A: The recommended spacing for Emerald Green Arborvitae Trees is 2-3 feet apart if you are using it for privacy. If you want quicker privacy, plant them about 2 feet apart. Emerald Green Arborvitae Trees typically grow about 3-4 feet wide. Most evergreen plants, such as arborvitae, are planted when they are not actively growing for best results. Depending on where you live, they may be planted in late winter if soils are workable, or you may have to wait until early spring when the earth has thawed.4 years agoHelpful?
Q: Thinking of planting. Will these be ok in standing water after a hard downpour
4 years ago- A: Hello Gig5 - As long as the roots are not constantly wet, that should be OK. Thank you - National Plant Network4 years agoHelpful?
Q: We bought 100 of the emerald green arborvitae trees last spring . I noticed that some of the green on them is turning brown in places. We have been watering very often to keep them moist. Could they ever get too much water?
4 years ago- A: When established, Arborvitae will tolerate periods of dry weather. That said, they prefer a consistently moist soil when establishing themselves. They do not like overly dry sites or constantly soggy or wet soil, which can lead to root rot and other harmful plant diseases. So be careful not to over-water them.4 years agoHelpful?
