The description says steel but the bed is poly with a 1 inch angle iron frame. The rear axle assembly and the 2 bolts that provide the dump ability are bolted to the poly bed so with heavy loads while dumping it pull the rear wheels up near the front wheels and that poly bed will start to bend or twist after a few loads. Not well designed. Found a better one where everything it attached to a heavier steel frame at same price.
