This DEWALT DCST922P1 14 in. Cordless 20V MAX Brushless String Trimmer Kit features an innovative folding hinge mechanism that reduces its length by 40% for accessible storage and quick portability. The brushless string trimmer's QuickLoad spool allows for fast and easy line replacement of the DEWALT 0.080 in. line. Really, stop. You don't want this one.

I have a lot of Dewalt tools. Most are really good. This one is not.
The slightest touch to the bump feed & it spools out. I literally went through the entire spool in abut 30 yards of mowing. I am no string trimmer rookie. This thing is just bad.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I own many many other Dewalt 20V and 60V tools and they've all been good to great... This thing is awful. The power only has two speeds, on or off at only those two speeds. The string reloading is chintzy, doesn't feed out reliably when bumped, and severs the line that the grommet all the time. The position of the handle should be right where the hinge is, so the ergos are all wrong. Tilting it sideways to do edging isn't comfortable with how the handles and head are laid out....
Basically, this is a tool that was designed poorly and not thoroughly tested before hitting the market. Shame on you Dewalt.

I've had this tool less than 1 year. I had to replace the trimmer head after maybe 4 months. Research revealed this is a common problem with these trimmers. The battery now only charged to 1 bar and my if you make sure to run it out completely. I also tried buying replacement batteries through Dewalt and those were trash. I cut my losses and switched to greenworks and they are awesome for a fraction of the cost.
