- A: Hello Lois. The Greenworks 60V string trimmer uses a Load N’ Go™ bump-feed head, which allows you to reload line quickly without taking the head apart. Here is how to install new string: Align the eyelets on the trimmer head (rotate until the holes line up). Insert the line straight through one side until it comes out the other. Pull the line evenly so both sides are equal length. Twist the bump knob (or head) to wind the line into the spool. Leave a few inches of line on each side for trimming. Helpful Tips: Use the recommended line diameter (typically .080"-.095") for best performance. Do not overfill the head, as this can cause binding.
