I have a number of battery and gas powered weed trimmers. I purchased the Worx because I have a large stock of compatible batteries from other tools. A number of my favorite power tools are from Worx (looking at you miter saw) but this trimmer is not on that list. Cutting power and battery life are good and the weight isn't bad, but the dual feed heads are terrible. I've tried replacement heads and hand loading the spools. Neither will produce a consistent cutting segment of more than two inches in length. I have to manually advance the two strings out to a decent cutting length. The automatic feed does nothing. The trimmer will cut for about eight seconds before a repeat hand feed is required. Needless to say, this tool doesn't get used much anymore. Thankfully, my ancient 25 dollar Ryobi is still functioning.
No, I do not recommend this product.

When initially switching on the trimmer, a small length of line is fed out. To feed more line, stop the trimmer completely, then restart, allowing the motor to reach full speed. Great trimmer

I had one just like this one. Eas 31/2 years old went bad this year. It is winter now,but pray it works in the Spring! I am 73 disabled widow and a young man does my lawn work VERY VERY cheap due to my low income. Other one was garenteed for 3 years per Worx,pray this one is to!??
