[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Powerful and quiet. Overkill for residential use, but no worries bothering the neighbors at sunrise since it’s practically silent. I use the first speed setting which provides plenty of power for residential use. No gas, no spark-plug, no air filter, no carburetor adjustment, no priming, no cord pulling. The battery that came with the unit charges quickly and battery life per charge allows me to do several trimming and edging cycles before needing a re-charge on a typical suburban plot. I have no complaints and have had no issues so far during my first mowing season. I recommend it and would buy it again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First electric purchase. Like how it’s easy to get going and modulating the throttle is very easy. The slide safety is a bit harder to use though. The .095 spiral line on it is good for lawns the get trimmed regularly. It’s worthless on any big weeds. Went through first spool in just a few uses. The .105 I respooled with is more a triangle shape and cuts noticeably better. But it is louder. Normal trimming is easy even in low. On high the line is your weak point. The motor never stops turning. Battery runtime is good. Not a tank of gas good but I’d guess 45 minutes. The biggest cheap point is the lack of a skid plate. It’s a commercial trimmer that looks like cheap plastic. The 525ilst has a metal skid plate. If they added that I’d probably be a 5 stars. Lots of money to skimp out on one part I feel.
