[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a lot to like about the Dewalt DCST926. As my son has started taking over the mowing and trimming duties of our house and nearby farm, I thought having a trimmer which can easily fold down to fit in amongst all his baseball gear would be beneficial. It really does this well, and I especially like how the entire shaft remains sealed and is not exposed when folding for transport and storage. Another nice feature is how the head clicks in with the string guard to lock everything in place. It does require removal of the battery, but makes it super easy to carry and stow away. At first I was a little dismayed that it didn't come with a shoulder strap, but once I had it all put together, I really appreciated how lightweight and balanced it was - no strap needed! As it's still winter, I didn't have many weeds which needed trimming at the moment, but did have some ornamental grasses which I tried it out on. While these aren't as tough as cutting through the heavy brush and weeds of mid-summer, it zipped right through with ease. This is variable speed with high and low ranges, and when coupled with the included Dewalt string, it will really make quick work of most jobs. A couple cons which for me put it to 4 stars - the hi/low selector switch is a little loose. It doesn't seem like it will be an issue, but isn't as firm and solid as similar switches on other Dewalt tools I have. Also there's a vibration when using that feels like it's coming from the head and up through the shaft. I don't notice any physical damage to the unit itself, so maybe somewhat of a tradeoff for having the ability to fold. All in all, for a small to medium sized property, or if you need a trimmer to take up minimal space for storage or transport, the Dewalt DCST926 is a really good option.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's so light! Was my first reaction to this new weed eater. The folding design and safety locking clasp is just thoughtful. Plenty of power at least judging by the rpms, it's January in Rochester not exactly weeding flower beds. The D handle is large and keeps the machine well balanced in your hands. The storage space is minimal because of the folding design, I just hang it with my other hand tools.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is cool. It folds up and locks, 2 speeds, very well made. I havent used it as its currently snowing with negative temps but did test the power of it and it seems to have plenty of power with out question.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This weedeater exceeded my expectations, to be quite honest. I have a gas trimmer that I've used for years but wanted something a little lighter for around the house and garden and this dewalt 20v trimmer is perfect for my needs. It's winter time currently but I still took my new toy out and found a patch of weeds to chop, worked great! Its not loud and it doesn't vibrate my hands either, it's a real pleasure to use. Looking forward to putting more hours on it in the summer.
