Well designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's so light! Was my first reaction to this new weed eater. The folding design and safety locking clasp is just thoughtful. Plenty of power at least judging by the rpms, it's January in Rochester not exactly weeding flower beds. The D handle is large and keeps the machine well balanced in your hands. The storage space is minimal because of the folding design, I just hang it with my other hand tools.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Amazing features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is cool. It folds up and locks, 2 speeds, very well made. I havent used it as its currently snowing with negative temps but did test the power of it and it seems to have plenty of power with out question.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Better than expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This weedeater exceeded my expectations, to be quite honest. I have a gas trimmer that I've used for years but wanted something a little lighter for around the house and garden and this dewalt 20v trimmer is perfect for my needs. It's winter time currently but I still took my new toy out and found a patch of weeds to chop, worked great! Its not loud and it doesn't vibrate my hands either, it's a real pleasure to use. Looking forward to putting more hours on it in the summer.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Little heavy, but sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a couple of different weed eaters and all of them have their pros and cons. This one is no exception. First off, it's nice because it can fold in half in case you need to set it on a shelf somewhere and you don't want it at full extension. For me it's actually a pointless feature because I store my weed eaters vertically, so the thinner and lighter they are the better. The rigidity, because of the square body, is nice, however that also means that the aftermarket extension handles that I use don't work on it because it doesn't have a round-tube body. It is also a little bit heavier than my other 20 volt weed eaters I've had in the past. I assume that's because of the thicker and more rigid rectangular tubing that holds it together. The weed eater head seems to be okay, but it did advance string without bumping it while in use. Hopefully that was a fluke. The torque and speed of the weed eater I find to be satisfactory, however it's not as strong as my Flex volt weed eater. For regular grass and weeds it's not a problem, but if I have to go through thick Dallas grass or heavy weeds it bogs down. All in all I would recommend it only if you need something that can fold in half because my flexvolt weed eater is stronger, about the same weight and it can use a regular extension arm. As for a 20v version, this one seems capable, but mainly for a fairly tamed yard, and not wild country landscaping.

Yes, I recommend this product.
