I love this sword very much! It's beautiful and simple and the Celtic knots for decorations are great. There were a couple minor things that I noticed upon receiving the sword that I should mention. Firstly, while it was technically "sharp enough" the edge was very rough and full of burrs, so when I wiped the factory oil off the blade the edge tore and shredded the paper towel pretty bad. Not a big deal, but I cleaned that up and now it's very sharp. I don't actually do any cutting with the sword because I'm old enough to know better and I want to make a custom viking shield and mount it on the wall with an ax. Secondly, the balance on the blade is alright, but is still very blade heavy, so that means it is not a fast sword, but that does give it a little more "chopping" power. It's just hard on the wrist after a bit, but I do train a little with the sheath on to improve my strength. Finally, this last bit is something that I was planning from the start: I have some ferric chloride and vinyl sticker paper and I'm going to etch some runes going down the groove of the blade and then highlight it with gun blue and a q-tip. All in all, I love this sword and I'm happy with the purchase. P.S. Can you guys please put some better pictures of your products on the web site, please? I've found that it's hard to see details very well. Thanks!

The sword was everything I wanted to give to my son now that he is 16 and he is a man and no longer a boy. He LOVES it and shows it to all of his friends. Great sword indeed.
