The Chief 4 in. Bore x 18 in. Stroke WT Welded Hydraulic Cylinder is a high-quality welded hydraulic cylinder designed for heavier loads. The rod and base ends are welded cross-tubes with grease zerks. Designed for performance, the hydraulic cylinder has a heavy-duty piston as well as a piston stem complete with wear rings to reduce friction, and the screw-in gland is removable from the rod end. It is ideally suited for construction and agricultural applications as well as other industries like metal fabricating, waste/recycling and OEM trailer manufacturing.Note: This product may require up to 2 additional days for order processing prior to shipping

- Piston: ductile iron with wear ring(s)
- Gland: ductile iron, screw-in design with wear ring
- Tube: precision-honed steel
- Rod: ground and polished chromed steel with a minimum 75,000 PSI yield

Q: Will the chief 4" bore be adequate for the pivot on a bucket loader at 3000 lb? I have an older John Deere 1010 with a bucket on the front. The single 2 port cylinder is bad and needs replacement for the up and down tilt. My 2 lift cylinders are good.

- A: The manufacturer is stating that they believe you would need a 4X24 cylinder. That’s the common cylinder for log splitters. You could try PN 212-767 ($314.55/each) or a 287-065 ($245.62/each) depending on if you need clevis end mounts or cross-tubes.7 years agoHelpful?
