With a recoil design, this gas-powered log splitter boasts a powerful Champion engine. Complete with a cast-iron sleeve, this gas log splitter offers a 0.9 gal. fuel tank and a 0.6 qt. oil capacity (recommended 10W-30). Q: The manual online says this machine uses a canister hydraulic oil filter (Fram PH9342 or WIX 51361). However, I don't see an external filter in any photos and some of the older posts suggest there is an internal filter. Which is correct?

- A: You can use 85 to 91 octane fuels with no noticeable difference. Now, if you have non-ethanol (ethanol free) fuel available to you, that is better for fuel storage reasons, but not for performance reasons. Use unleaded gasoline with an ethanol content of 10% or less. This means you should avoid Flex Fuels or E85 gasoline as it contains higher amounts of ethanol. Most of us are stuck with only having access to this type of fuel. If you have non-ethanol fuel available near you, it can indeed help reduce fuel storage problems. Never received it. After placing the order and waiting two weeks the item never got loaded into the truck. The order needed to be canceled and reordered. I am now waiting for someone to give me a call or update the claim number since it's been another two weeks and I still don't have it. This was suppose to be a father's day gift and I'm very disappointed because I've also been making payments to the credit card for something I do not have.
