Works fine until it doesn't work anymore.

I've owned this safe for just short of 3yrs and it worked fine until now. The safe will not open at all. I contacted cannon and did all of their troubleshooting suggestions and nothing worked. Cannon said they will send me parts to try and have a locksmith replace, but I have to pay out of pocket for the locksmith to do the work. That "life time warranty" only covers fire damage. If the mechanism just fails for no reason, you're on your own. By the way, the parts I need to wait for have to be shipped from the warehouse in Mexico so they will take 10-15 days to arrive. All the while I'm still locked out of my safe. I will be looking for another brand in the future. Hopefully one that fully stands behind their product and it's "lifetime warranty".

Cannon safes are cheep and do not last.. I have had to replace the key pad which took Cannon 4 months to get the right key pad to me.. I currently have an issue with the barrell, it will not align with the internal release. Cannon will not provide service or help me get it open.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Doesn't come with instructions on how to use the override key or change the password or anything. I can't even figure out how to access the battery if and when I need to change them. Other than that it's a solid safe
