Why no cast iron cook top

Please make this version with a castiron cook top! I bought this and was so excited for many of the features but once I got home I noticed it was a coated aluminum cooktop instead of the normal cast iron. I took it back. The cast iron cook top is the main reason I pick blackstone products!

Thank you for the review. We introduced this model to customers because we had many who were only using their units seasonally. The coated top holds up better when not being used. So there is not any maintence time when pulling it out for the season.
We appreciate the feedback and hope we can add a rolled steel top option in the future.
