The Barenbrug 50 lb. Transcon Bermuda Unhulled Coated Grass Seed was developed in North Carolina to exhibit improved cold tolerance and very much improved turf quality. Ideally used for new bermuda turf areas or over-seeded to improve the overall quality of older bermuda lawns. Very uniform leaf texture, with excellent turf density, Transcontinental will establish very quickly making it an ideal choice for a variety of applications including home lawns, sports fields and golf fairways. For ease of handling and planting Transcontinental also features Barenbrug's proprietary Yellow Jacket enhanced seed coating. Yellow Jacket utilizes superabsorbant technology to produce a coating that can hold up to 600 times its own weight in water. The results provide fast, uniform germination and early growth, with reduced water requirements during early establishment.

Q: How long do I have to plant the seed once the bag is delivered? With it being late October, it is probably not a good idea to plant this seed. When is the recommended time to plant this seed since it is deveoped to withstand colder weather?
5 years ago- A: We would not recommend planting Bermuda at this time. The seed, if stored correctly in a cool dry area, should be viable for several years. This is a warm season grass, recommend planting late spring early summer when temperatures are consistently above 80 degrees.5 years agoHelpful?
