- A: Hi there, Per the vendor: Not knowing the size of the seed the customer is wanting to use in it I would suggest they look at the unit before purchase for wanting to use a specific seed in it. The spreader only drops the seed on the top of the ground. If they are thinking it will be placed in the ground then they would need a drill not this unit.2 years agoHelpful?

Poor design

I bought the agrifab spike spreader. The plastics bearing flanges don’t fit the axle shaft. Tried oil, tried light sanding to remove to debris and even try boring the plastics bearing! The all crack and break and the clearance aren’t even close to right
