The spreader only drops the seed on the top of the ground. If they are thinking it will be placed in the ground then they would need a drill not this unit.2 years agoHelpful?

45-0543 Spreader is a piece of junk!!

I bought my spreader about 6-7 years ago, and until now, it has been fairly reliable. When I first put it together, the problems started. The flimsy plastic washer that holds the wing nut near the flow control lever doesn't hold anything. When you tighten it up, it pulls through the hole for the flow adjustment. This should be replaced with a metal washer. The arm for the height adjustment keeps popping out of its holder. It gets worse with age. The wheels wobble and tightening them up doesn't help it any.The agitator is rusting along with other internal metal parts. And now my outside tine bent/broke and ate up some of my lawn. This has only been used maybe a dozen times. Agri-Fab, you need to improve this and build it better! They are now charging an outrageous amount for one (over double for what I paid), and now it is going in the dump where it belongs

Poor design

I bought the agrifab spike spreader. The plastics bearing flanges don’t fit the axle shaft. Tried oil, tried light sanding to remove to debris and even try boring the plastics bearing! The all crack and break and the clearance aren’t even close to right
