Second snowfall and already in for service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased 21" Power Clear 60V Max electric Model 39921 to replace my 20 year old Toro single stage gas snow blower. First snow fall was 3" of powder and it worked great. Second snowfall 5" of powder and it started out great, then 5 minutes in it would shut down and give a series of beeps. Looked up trouble shooting in manual, and confirmed that it was not any problems listed. It suggested taking it to an authorized dealer, which I did. It's their busiest time of the year so, it will be 3 weeks before they can look at it to diagnose the problem. They also stated that they have not seen this problem yet. I would be cautious about purchasing this item. Toro, feel free to reach out to me. I would appreciate it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 20+ year old gas Toro self-propelled snowblower that still works but I wanted to switch to battery. I've used the battery unit on two snows. The first being an 8" snow and the second 4". I use the 10ah that came with the blower along with a 7.5ah battery that came with my Toro mower this spring. My drive is probably 100 ft long with a 2 car parking area at the rear of the house. I also do my neighbor's 50 ft drive and our 100 ft city sidewalk. 8" snow. Ran the unit 50% of the time in eco mode. The unit had no problem throwing the medium weight snow. Not powdery, not heavy. By the time I got to my neighbor's drive, both batteries had one LED left. I decided to recharge the batteries. Finished it later that afternoon. My gas blower too would have required more gas to get the job done. Very happy with the battery blower's results! 4" snow. Ran the blower 90% in eco mode. Finished both drives with 2 LED left on both batteries. At one point, the blade struck a step at the end of the walk. The unit stopped and started beeping. I pulled the batteries and reinserted them. The blower started up and worked fine. Whew! Thought I broke it. In summary, I'm VERY pleased with this snowblower. I do recommend having as much battery as possible. Hope it proves to be reliable throughout the years. My clothing doesn't smell like oily 2 cycle gas fumes when finished. Some have shown concern about the longevity of the rubber blade. I replaced the blades on my gas blower after about 17 years of use in central Indiana. If the new unit blades are made of the same material, premature wear shouldn't be a problem. And of course, it's quiet. My neighbor hadn't realized I cleared her driveway due to the quiet operation.

Yes, I recommend this product.
