I tried this with my previous horse who was a very picky eater, and he absolutely would not touch his grain when I added it in. So when I got my new mare last year, I was happy that she was a more willing eater and tried this again. She did pretty well with it last summer, and I noticed she stomped and swished her tail somewhat less than the other horses that lived out in the field with her, although she still regularly needed fly spray. And I do think the Omega-3 helped her over the winter so she stayed in better condition. But this spring when it switch back to the Bug-Off, she stopped finishing her grain. I think since she's now a good weight compared to when I got her, she can be a little pickier about her food. And it's more important to me that she finishes her grain and her other supplements, so I had to take this one out of her plan.

SmartBug-Off Ultra Pellets have been key during the brutally hot summer this year! I have a very sensitive OTTB who can be very opinionated about the buggy summers. Unfortunately, my horse is not able to wear a fly sheet due to sweating issues. I was in desperate need of something to give him support! These pellets might keep bugs from biting, but having fed them since June, there are still flies and mosquitos on my horses. The mosquitos are biting. These do not repel green heads at all.
